Oh, that is SO sad...
I've been busy with the busy-ness of life as we know it. Taking care of the "nesting" that comes with a family member coming home. What's that? I didn't tell you I was expecting...sure I did...expecting my hubbyman home in let's see...it's officially Thursday now...that makes it COOL! ELEVEN DAYS! I cannot be MORE ready for this homecoming!
Yes, I've been "nesting"...just like I do when about 9 months pregnant (and unable to bend to properly do the stuff that I want to do!). I LIKE this kind of nesting. I can bend, I can stretch, I can pop my back (that's a bonus!), and I'm getting a lot done, and a little bit of weight lost in the process! WOOHOO! That's a bonus!
SHHH! I haven't told the kids when he's coming home...they'll figure that out when we pull up at his work that day, I'm sure! I keep the "well, honey, it's SOON." going, and they're still biting on it, so....I'm gonna keep it up.
We have had a bit of a "teacher's sick day" today for the kids, with a bit of a substitute at the end of the day. I've been sicker than a dog who's just caught a squirrel all day. So, Milo and Otis and some lessons from Madagascar have been the "teachers" today (
) and the oldest has been a real blessing to her momma in making cereal for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. (I found two empty jam jars on the table when I went in there. I don't know how much she put onto FOUR sandwiches, but I'm hoping there's peanut butter left. It was new!) I'm better now, and hoping to get something accomplished tomorrow(today..it's after midnight here).
We've also been blessed today with the dear daughter of a dear friend coming to be my "other body" and get the kids fed dinner and into bed. She just smoothly fit into our home and took care of what needed to be. I slept easier in that three hours than I did all day. I didn't have to have one ear open and be aware of the noises around me. So, much healing has happened this evening...unfortunately, I'm WIDE AWAKE right now and need to head to bed...
So....nighty-night...gonna go try to get some rest...
hugs!
