It's not the first of November, it's the second, and this is one of my favorite months! It's beautiful here in Germany
(that photo was from last year...I keep forgetting my camera when we go out and I'm not driving! Honestly, I wish I could remember it, as I think that this year, the colors are so much brighter, and that day was rather dreary, sky-wise.)
Also, my sweetie was born in this month, and so was my oldest son, who will be six in 7 days! EEKS!
Plus, in the past few days, I've finally gotten my mom's Christmas present finished, and I get to ship it off tomorrow. It's a Christmas-colored wreath wall hanging quilt (did that make sense?) and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Mom bought me a free-motion embroidery foot for my birthday, a couple months ago, and little did she realize that I needed it to finish her gift. Here's photos:

I used some metallic threads to free-motion quilt the wreath area, and then down the ribbon, to give it "shape", then on the dark green border. I just need to sign the back of it, add some hanging loops, and it's done! WOOHOO! With it being Christmas-themed, I wanted her to have it so that she could USE it this year, not just open it on Christmas...but she's a stickler for that type of thing, so there's no tellin' if she'll actually open it. I'll wrap it in birthday paper or something, so she'll just go ahead and open it!
I'm working on Grammy's, now. It's a year-round color scheme, and VERY "Grammy". You know the type...she's 74 years old, and has more energy than most 50 year olds? Just a little on the flashy side, and loves bright colors? ...Was upset when she had to give her spot up on the travel bowling league, as her arthritis wouldn't cooperate consistently? I love this lady!
The wedding cake of a couple weeks back went well, and went OVER well. I'm pleased with that opportunity.

Anyhoo...for the three blessings:
1 - SHMILY...see DandelionSeed's blog here at HSB
2 - the privilege of educating my kids at home
3 - a hubbyman who works hard so that I can teach the kids at home and not work, and who is serving our country in the military.
all that to say...Happy November!!!
Blessings to you and yours!
