Not a Thornburg DAY, but a Thornburg week. Just lots of little things, and not so little things.
More explanation of "Thornburg Day". It's our way of finding something to laugh about at the end of a difficult day or situation. You know, when the strain gets so heavy, your heart just aches, and if you don't pull yourself up fast and refocus on Christ, you'll drag yourself down and take others with you? We turn that strain into an opportunity to teach our children how to handle it well.
Well, for some reason, when this Martin (my maiden name) married that Thornburg (married name), apparently, the chaos-es in the separate families collided. We have NEVER had a calm life together, and we're goin' on 14 years together in February. wow. It's not been bad, just exciting. We've had multiple car wrecks, with little to no damage, when the car (and us) should've been totaled. Those were the "high points of chaos. We've had four children, who bring their own unique excitement into our life. Basically, it's been an exciting life together, and some days are more of "Thornburg Days" than others.
Today's blog is turning out to be a wander in commentary, all of this to say: "Sigh...it's been another Thornburg week..."
