The children are really enjoying their summer vacation! We're still reading through the "Little House on the Prairie" series and are currently on "By the Shores of Silver Lake." Even little Hannah seems to be enjoying these books. Jacob (8) recently signed up for a summer reading program at the Barnes and Noble bookstore. If he reads 8 books and I sign the bottom of the form he fills out with the title, favorite part of each book, etc. he gets to pick out a free book in their store! He's allowed to do that twice this summer!

Jamie (5) is still learning how to read little words. He's so excited! Jacob has taken over a lot of his (Jamie's) homeschooling by choice. He loves to teach his little brother. :)

Hannah (3) has learned to write her name now and I will begin teaching her letter sounds over the remainder of the summer. She really seems to catch on to all these new concepts quickly!
