Our social studies theme for the past few weeks has been "Discovering Different Cultures." I'm able to check out educational materials from the county's educational department. Last week I checked out a video on families in Russia. It was fascinating!! We wrote down all of the similarities and differences between the children's lives there and here. This next week we're going go over families in Japan and Mexico. Should be interesting!

For Science, Jacob is studying volcanos and earthquakes...imagine that! ;) Jamie is studying the life cycle of a sunflower (this past week) and the "life" of a raindrop (next week). We make up special projects for each subject.

Hannah is still learning by leaps and bounds. She can now read a few more words than Jamie! I'm amazed at her learning abilities at such a young age.
