 (low of 44F° ~ high of 49F°) Hi! Remember me?? Between chicken pox running through the three youngest children (the boys had already had it) and getting all of our ducks in a row to purchase a home (aaacckkkk!!!!) not to mention househunting via the internet night and day, we've been super busy and insane. You know, the usual. We searched and searched in Missouri which was our original choice of location and almost settled on a farm there but ended up finding one that met more of our criteria in Arkansas! Anyway, here's an arial view of the house/barn/land (15 acres). We're finishing up the paperwork with the VA and the loan officer this week and Lord-willing we'll be in Escrow (sp?) by the end of the week. Once it's a done deal I'll post more pics of the house. I just don't want to get ahead of myself just yet. Oh boy but we're praying!!!!! Sorry to be away so long but things are crazy over here right now!! God Bless! <>< |

...we just finished up "The Long Winter" and are starting on "Little Town on the Prairie!" (yes, we're going through this series S L O W L Y! I keep getting sidetracked by other books!

The children are really enjoying their summer vacation! We're still reading through the "Little House on the Prairie" series and are currently on "By the Shores of Silver Lake." Even little Hannah seems to be enjoying these books. Jacob (8) recently signed up for a summer reading program at the Barnes and Noble bookstore. If he reads 8 books and I sign the bottom of the form he fills out with the title, favorite part of each book, etc. he gets to pick out a free book in their store! He's allowed to do that twice this summer! Jamie (5) is still learning how to read little words. He's so excited! Jacob has taken over a lot of his (Jamie's) homeschooling by choice. He loves to teach his little brother. :) Hannah (3) has learned to write her name now and I will begin teaching her letter sounds over the remainder of the summer. She really seems to catch on to all these new concepts quickly! |
