I'd been mulling this idea over...finally got the puppet show materials all finished last night. It goes a little something like this:

Jesus had died on the cross. He was buried in a tomb. His friends were very sad.

The tomb was closed with a stone.

When Jesus'  friend Mary came to visit the tomb, she was surprised to find that the stone was rolled away, and Jesus was not inside!

The angel that had rolled away the stone told Mary, "Jesus isn't here. He is alive!"

Jesus showed his friends that he really was alive!

Jesus died to take the blame for our sins. He rose again so we can live with Him forever!

We read the Biblical account first, so that they could hear the entire story. After we acted it out a couple times, the kids played for awhile. Now Sophia can tell the whole story herself!
