I'm a homeschool mom of 3 daughters. My aim in life is to glorify God by loving and serving my family, grow personally in my walk with Him, and being a Titus 2 woman to those younger than me. This blog is to share what God is doing in my life and in the life of our homeschool.
Princess is 9 years old . She was born a princess and continues to hold the title. She loves all things girlie and is talented in all things crafty.
Pixie is 7 and a half. She has a passion for truth, loves rocks and shells and has a huge collection of them.
Peanut is 5. She is fun loving, happy all the time and can make anybody laugh.
Princess hosted a wonderful Fall party for her family. I was thinking about this experience and have come up with some lessons she learned through this experience.
She learned:
1. How to make and deliver invitations 2. Preplanning the event (games and activities and any preparation for it) 3. Preparing with getting supplies at the store 4. Making sure her guests would enjoy the party (mom and dad were too big for the maze under the bed so she made a special scavenger hunt for us big folk) 5. Taking care of her guests at the party, making sure all were able to participate in the activities, paying special attention to her sisters 6. Cleaning up.
Below are some photos of the stations she had in her room. She had treats, hopscotch (not shown), a craft area with supplies available, digging for treats, a maze, fishing in her closet for treats.
I would say she is on her way to becoming a very hospitable young lady. Susan
I played clarinet with braces for five years. It can be done! Same with flute. Thousands of kids learn to adapt, so if her heart is set on it, don't say no. However, piano and violin are great choices too! Don't forget cello! (My personal favorite instrument, even as a wind player :)
Wow - it sounds like she went all out! You must be proud that she put this together all by herself. It reminds me of the time my sister and I opened a "store" in our bedroom. We made price tags and my mom came and bought an eraser, I think. :o)
