I'm a homeschool mom of 3 daughters. My aim in life is to glorify God by loving and serving my family, grow personally in my walk with Him, and being a Titus 2 woman to those younger than me. This blog is to share what God is doing in my life and in the life of our homeschool.
Princess is 9 years old . She was born a princess and continues to hold the title. She loves all things girlie and is talented in all things crafty.
Pixie is 7 and a half. She has a passion for truth, loves rocks and shells and has a huge collection of them.
Peanut is 5. She is fun loving, happy all the time and can make anybody laugh.
1. I am thankful for great likeminded friends like Rebeca and family who had us over for dinner and served again a delicious meal. Boy, can she cook. My girls have eaten up every meal we have had at her house. That is saying something. Thanks Rebeca for a wonderful evening.
2. I am thankful for the book that finally arrived today. I had ordered it once and it never showed up so I got my money back. I ordered it again elsewhere and it arrived today. It is the History of the world timeline and I have been wanting this out of print book for a while now.
3. I am thankful tomorrow is Friday. We have no plans except to clean the house, so I may just lounge around and read a book, especially if it is raining.
Thanks for stopping by. I actually asked Marissa if she wanted a blog. If she had thought of, she had never mentioned it, which isn't likely. She was ecstatic. She bounced around for 2 days until we had time to work on it this morning. I suggested it, actually, in order to work on her spelling and writing skills. She hates to write--except for MadLibs and a few short emails to family. I am hoping this will give her something she is interested enough in to do that. I help her with the words she needs to work on. It helps her with her particular learning style anyway. She is not a list memorizer. She learns from reading and seeing the word over and over. I also help her type some. We have a deal that if she types out the first half, she can dictate to me the rest. Otherwise, she tires of trying to peck out very much on the keyboard. At least with her dictating and watching me type, she is still working on formulating the sentences in her head and being creative. As she progresses, I will slack off. Now, if she will just stay interested!
