I'm a homeschool mom of 3 daughters. My aim in life is to glorify God by loving and serving my family, grow personally in my walk with Him, and being a Titus 2 woman to those younger than me. This blog is to share what God is doing in my life and in the life of our homeschool.
Princess is 9 years old . She was born a princess and continues to hold the title. She loves all things girlie and is talented in all things crafty.
Pixie is 7 and a half. She has a passion for truth, loves rocks and shells and has a huge collection of them.
Peanut is 5. She is fun loving, happy all the time and can make anybody laugh.
Below are two paintings, one from Princess and one from Pixie. Based on how I described their particular gifts in art, can you tell me who painted what picture? This is our tree as it stands now by the fireplace. This isn't the best example, but I thought because they both painted the same object you might be able to tell who did what. Don't forget to leave a comment and join the Art discussion. It has been very informative. You all have lots to say about art! 1.

I am sorry it took a while to get this up. I lost my USB cord for my camera and couldn't plug it into my laptop. So I used my other camera and other computer. I was hoping I would find the cord. I guess that just tells you how organized I am. I actually remember doing something with it, hoping it wouldn't get lost and wouldn't you know it, I can't find it anywhere. I should have just left it on the floor with all the other camera attachments!
That's really hard to tell. I would say Pixie did the bottom one because she included the fireplace and left the frames blank, but then the top one has the 4 feet on the tree stand. But I'll still go with Pixie on the bottom one.
Both are really good pictures. I think Princess did the top one and Pixie did the bottom one. As for advice about art instruction. I think it would be a good idea. If they don't want to use it later thats ok, but at least they honed their skills. Art can be a really rewarding thing and can be used in their other studies. I would look for a program that doesn't stifle their creativity though. Just a thought.
My vote is #1 - Princess, #2 Pixie but it could go either way as they are both very good. You must have provided them with all sorts of supplies to make their trees - they are beautiful!
Hmmm...from what you said, I'm guessing that Princess did the top one and Pixie did the bottom, but you know, I'm not sure. They are both really good pictures and they are both very similar. No wait, Pixie did the top and Princess did the bottom. I can't remember which came first now. The one where the trimming goes evenly back and forth (like and even zig zag) across the tree would be Pixie. When you described their styles, I envisioned it quite like my oldest two draw. Jack is a good artist, but he's sort of haphazard and doesn't really think to include a background. Emma is very deliberate and the whole scene is there with no white space. Both your girls' pictures are very complete.
For some reason you have been on my mind all weekend. My love language is also gift giving and if I were wealthy, you would be getting many things at your doorstep. I was looking at a catalog and kept thinking, "Oh, I'd love to get that for Susan. She'd love that." How do I know this? I don't know, just a feeling. Okay, I'm going on far too long for a comment. I'll have to e-mail you soon.

I've looked at the pictures one more time and have concluded that Princess did the top one and Pixie did the bottom...and that is my final answer.

You should color copy those for Christmas cards!!
I will also say Princess on top and Pixie on the bottom. Are you going to tell us? :-)
I'd like to see the real tree too!
