I'm a homeschool mom of 3 daughters. My aim in life is to glorify God by loving and serving my family, grow personally in my walk with Him, and being a Titus 2 woman to those younger than me. This blog is to share what God is doing in my life and in the life of our homeschool.
Princess is 9 years old . She was born a princess and continues to hold the title. She loves all things girlie and is talented in all things crafty.
Pixie is 7 and a half. She has a passion for truth, loves rocks and shells and has a huge collection of them.
Peanut is 5. She is fun loving, happy all the time and can make anybody laugh.
For those of you who are familiar with Spunkyhomeschool, she has just written her last blog entry. I am so sad to see her go. She is a passionate, articulate homeschool advocate and she will be missed greatly.
(my link is not working again. Has there been a problem with it on HSB?) Her addy is: www.spunkyhomeschool.blogspot.com
One more day to join the great Art debate and enter the drawing for geeART16. I will announce the winner on Thursday.
Hi Susan, your girls are great little artists! Thank for your encouraging comment on my blog. I just had a couple of quick thoughts: one is a book recommended by Kendra of Preschoolersandpeace. I've never read it personally, but I know Kendra really highly recommends it. It's called "Parenting In The Pew" by Robbie Castlemanm, and it's about helping our children to take joy in worship. Also, "The Hidden Art Of Homemaking" by Edith Schaeffer has a whole chapter that might help. She was describing how to "take notes" on a sermon all in pictures. Since your girls seem to like drawing it might be helpful to read that part of the book (my library had it), and talk to the girls about trying to listen to what the pastor is teaching, then draw/write it down so they can tell you about it later. Try not to get frustrated, rather go out of your way to make it a special day overall. We don't want our children to "look longingly over the fence" at what other kids "get to do" on Sunday, but rather show them how to love what they get to do.
I'll go read it now...I guess I'll find out why when I'm there?
~Jen the jammer who just got back from late night shopping to a locked house! almost had to kick the door down, but you can see that I made it in okay.
