I'm a homeschool mom of 3 daughters. My aim in life is to glorify God by loving and serving my family, grow personally in my walk with Him, and being a Titus 2 woman to those younger than me. This blog is to share what God is doing in my life and in the life of our homeschool.
Princess is 9 years old . She was born a princess and continues to hold the title. She loves all things girlie and is talented in all things crafty.
Pixie is 7 and a half. She has a passion for truth, loves rocks and shells and has a huge collection of them.
Peanut is 5. She is fun loving, happy all the time and can make anybody laugh.
A few things have brought a smile to my face lately. *My dd7 reading books to her little sister after we tuck them in at night. They can be seen in the rocking chair with a blanket on their lap. *Dd7 on the floor with the vacuum hose picking up all the bits that get stuffed under the bed, all without being asked. *Dd8 with her head buried in a book either on the couch or on the bed. Her quote yesterday was "when I read I feel like I am in another world". I am so glad she discovered the wonders of reading a good book.
These things encourage me and bring me hope. Even though I may not always feel like I have done a good job as a parent, when I see young fruit like this I can thank my Lord.
I went crochet crazy!! haha! I have made about 5 hats, and have been experimenting with the different stitches. I am having way too much fun with it! We were down in Coberg a week ago, and I thought of you. I was telling Adam about how you get together with other homeschool moms once a month, and he said that if I ever was able to go with you, then he could drop me off at your house and then go hang out with his brother and pick me up later. That would be sooo much fun!! As for my pizza dough recipe...well...I just kinda wing it. I will look up some recipes on the web, and post them on my chefmommy site under bread recipes. I'll try to find one that's close to what I do. I have another kind of pizza that I make that is also REALLY good. It's a barbeque chicken pizza. I'll post that one on chefmommy too. We will definatly have to get together soon. I would love to see Rebeca too. It's been a while since I have seen her. We'll have to plan something!
Very special moments :-) But I think it is even more special that you noticed them and they mean something to you.
All of often we get whisked away by the rush of life and things that we should treasure go unnoticed and lost. Far too often we are there to point out the negative things our children do, or others around us. We do need to treasure the positive things too, and let our children know how much they are loved.
Thank you for sharing that post with us, I for one feel blessed to have read it.
That kind of fruit tastes better than a ripe peach picked straight from the tree. Thank you, God, for allowing the fruits of our labor to be sweet! ~Faye
