Mar. 23, 2006 - Historical integrity, What do YOU use for history?
Ok, so i know i'm probably going to get booed off the board for this, but i wanted to see if anyone had any insight into this issue..
I've been considering ANWOA for american history, i have it already which is a big draw for me, but as i've been previewing it for next year, it seems to me there appears to be a large potential for historical inaccuracy... now, when i say that, i do realize that history itself is subjective... a record of history is going to be very biased toward whoever came out of the situation triumphant. So with that in mind, can there really be any historical integrity? That said, from the skimming i've done, it seems that ANWOA does the same "pilgrim deifying" that other Conservative Christian curricula do, such as beautiful feet and "the light and the glory" et. al. Now, i AM a conservative Christian, and yet i don't feel the need to deify the founding fathers of this country! I think its FAR more useful to see the mistakes they made, even very deep WRONG things they'd done, in order to set an example for ourselves. I find it EXTRAORDINARILY hard to believe that the primary purpose of the journey to the new world was to evangelize the lost! it seems to me the primary purpose was to conquor and take for themselves the land that someone else already laid claim to because they COULD. And that "evangelization" wasn't a method of saving souls but a way to control and steal from these people. Maybe I"M wrong, maybe MY OWN perception is colored by revisionist history, but those who cry "revisionism!" seem to have an agenda of their own, and i don't want an agenda, i want my children to learn the TRUTH! Why is it so hard to uncover that truth!
The next thing i noticed about this curriculum is the comments on day 59 or 60 about global warming.... the author left it pretty well open to possibility when the scientific evidence is CLEAR. There IS a growing hole in the ozone, its NOT seasonal, Why lie about it? what's the agenda?
Any thoughts? i'm pretty sure i'm not going to be using this curricula now, i just don't want to go there with inaccurate information. who knows what ELSE is inaccurate... or maybe i'm overreacting. Does anyoine know if a curriculum or author who's credible, and as agenda-free as possible? thanks,

Feb. 25, 2006 - Going out with the children
Ok, so tonight we had a really neat experience that made me want to drop by and post! We went out to Quizno's and to Best Buy to price washers, since our sprung a leak, and we wanted to know how much a new one was to know if we should get ours repaired or not, so anyway, we parked our 1977 11 passenger ford van, and next to us was a van with a lady with a poodle. We were getting out at the same time as her, and she took one look at us and said something to the effect of "wow, you are even busier than me! I'd rather run a business!" which of course i took the wrong way, as i'm super sensitive to family size questions, but i just sorta smiled and brushed it off. Well, she kept going on about how she had one child only and took care of lots of foster kids, which was neat, so i think i DID take the comment the wrong way.. So anyway, we got dinner, looked at washers and came back to the van just as she was about to pull out. She had just bought her poodle a new sweater and the kids were absolutely enamored! Anna of course is obsessed with animals of any kind and was screaming "PUPPY! PUPPY!" over and over again, and the others were crowded around her van too, and she seemed to not mind. She was talking about her dog and his sweater, and making small talk, and then she said, "What church do you go to? I can tell you are churchgoers by how happy you are"
Now, how cool is that??? that just totally made my day! anyway.. just had to post!!

Feb. 21, 2006 - Product Review: Noeo Science Physics II: Gizmos, Gadgets, Gears, and Gravity
I figured since others may be interested in using this curriculum, it
might be nice to have a review from someone who has tried it, which is
why i'm writing this review. I want to add that I in no was was
compensated by the company. I bought this myself, they don't even know
i have a penchant for reviewing stuff. I just thought i'd add that
since whenever i read completely glowing reviews i tend to wonder if
the reviewer's perspective was colored by the company, either by
recieving the product free to review, or other compensation.
I am a self confessed curriculum addict. Truly, this is the case! In particular, my family enjoys science, so ordering new science curricula is an awe inspiring moment in the Kvenvolden household. Sadly, we are often very disappointed with the curricula for one reason or other. Typically, i've found it confusing, cumbersome, dull, or the experiments have weird results. After doing our first day of Noeo Science, i'm pleased to say, none of these apply.
We recieved our package UPS delivered, yesterday evening. I ordered on Feb 13 two sets, this one as well as Chemistry II and both were contained, very well packaged in the nice big box, and came quickly. The Alldirect order i placed the same day hasn't even shipped yet! :-( So after I got back from the local homeschool group meeting, i took some time to go through the Instructor's guide to make a plan. We follow loosely, the well trained mind science plan, in which the first year we do life science, the second, earth and space science, third, chemistry and fourth physics. We are on year 2 of the cycle, and Noeo Science structures their plans a little differently. Space science, (which we've not yet done) falls under the physics category, so i bought that one to use part of it this year. So anyway, i wanted to start with space science. That begins on chapter 23 which works out super nicely, since we are already so far into the school year. Alex was super excited about doing electricity, so we're going to go through space and if he still wants to this summer we'll do some of the earlier chapters. So we all went to bed with visions of sugar plum pendulums dancing through our heads. :-)
Even I was excited enough to get up bright and early and get our "Story of the World" read so that we could do our science. I opened the binder to Day 23 and we began by reading "Along came Galileo" one of the literature selections included. Jeanne Bendick is a very talented writer, and my very technical, not so literature minded boys had no problem reading the introduction through page 25, the first week's entire assignment all in one shot. We then did the experiment at the end of the chapter, which was testing a pendulum and what would affect how long each swing took. We petered out a bit early on this experiment, we got the idea, and so we didn't fill in all the little boxes. Then i had my 10 year old, with my 7 year old looking on, fill in the reproducible experiment log. We all had a great time with this, and i'm excited to continue with this program!
Now, for a nuts and bolts piece by peice review of the products included in the set.
First is the Instructor's guide. I thought it was going to be like a packet of three hole punched pages in vaccum sealed plastic or something, but i was pleasantly surprised to find it came in a very high quality binder, a smaller one, maybe half inch? The binder itself is MUCH nicer than any of the binders i've bought for our family's use. (And being a WTM'er we have a LOT of binders!) Also the pages are printed on a smooth shiny paper. I was enjoying just rubbing my fingers across it! The presentation is outstanding. Now, on to content. The book is composed of the following, and introduction by the author, detailing specifics about the curricula, next is the reproducible masters of lab forms. Finally are the week by week schedules. I was struck by the relative smallness of the instructor's manual. The pages are printed on one side and the whole stack couldn't be more than a half inch thick. However, this does NOT mean that the program is incomplete. The introductory section gives great detail into features of the curriculum, their philosophy, their year plans, etc. Its good stuff, i'm glad its included. The lab forms are good as well, complete and they contain just the right amount of questions and writing. Too much would be bad for burnout, but still all the essentials are covered. Finally, the weekly schedule lays out a 4 day reading plan for the books in a chart, and on the bottom of the page tells you what to do on each day in addition to the reading. For example, you might read the assigned pages, then define or compare a few definitions or possibly do an experiment. We did the whole week 23 in one day but we skipped the reading lab pages, where you draw and write about what you learned. Also that seems like a very light week, i don't think you could do a whole week in 1 day normally, though it would be pheasible to do the week in 2 days, instead of 4 if that's how you structure your science program.
Secondly, the curriculum comes with all the literature you need to use the program. This is probably where much of the cost is incurred. However, the literature adds such a nice element to the program that its absolutely essential. The instructor's guide functions as a map, if you will for how to follow the program. But most of the solid information is found in the literature. I LOVE Noeo's choice of books for the year plans. They are great living books such as Archimedes and the door of science, and fun hands on books such as the Williamson Kids Can series. Also, the quantity is good, enough, but not TOO much.
Next is the big box of experiments! wahoo!! What a treat to have virtually everything included!! There is a list in the IG of supplies you need for certain weeks, but most is contained in the experiment kits. These kits are well made (by the young scientist club, a club that you can have one delivered each month.) They include all necessary supplies as well as a teacher and student guide to reinforce the information. i'm very pleased with them. They add the tactile experience factor that is totally necessary for a literature based curriculum.
My criticism is minor and few, I'd like to see a page that lists what topics are covered on what weeks. It was fairly easy enough to figure out based on the comments at the bottom of each page, but that would be helpful. I'd also like to see a list of supplementary activities and books ideally for each week, for students who really are enjoying what they are learning about and would like to continue before moving on.
Overall, i would say that i would heartily reccommend this curriculum
to others wanting a full bodied science experience. Its full but not
overwhelming and it doesn't take up a huge amount of time. Costwise I appreciate how for the levels I purchased, they didn't require the purchase of the two main books in order to get the discount. Their books are regularily 10% off, but when you buy the set you get the books for 20% off which is a LOT for a curriculum company. I'm surprised they can even make a profit selling the books for so little considering that their instructor's guides are a mere $20 or so. It really strikes me as a labor of love. Their customer service is great. They shipped my package very quickly. I think the next day? Also, when i wrote to the company to ask questions, both before purchase and after, they took the time to reply with detailed and thorough answers, which i appreciated. I think that Noeo Science is the next big science to hit the homeschool market, and i encourage all who are in the market to check them out! http://www.noeoscience.com

Feb. 13, 2006 - A great free resource
Hey all, thought i'd drop by and post quickly because i sort of re-happened upon a fantastic website with lots of great free materials. http://paideaclassics.org/index.php You will find under free e-texts and Isreal, Our Young Folk's Josephus which is a fantastic living book history of Isreal, as well as many others. Also they have a neat reading/spelling curriculum all free. I'm not Orthodox but so much of their materials are useful to me as a protestant Christian.
Ps. if anyone is reading and knows the difference between Orthodox and Catholicism, or how an Orthodox believer would differ from a Protestant believer, chime in! I'm curious.

Jan. 25, 2006 - today i'm the goop girl
Ugg... my family's cold has caught me! When Andy announced Monday that he was getting a sore throat, i knew it was coming! Of course being preggo means my immunity is shot and so every cold even remotely floating around me, i suck in and absorb. Oh well.. So, i'm vegging out and not accomplishing much of anything today, except hopefully scaling Mount Laundry. So i thought i'd blog! Aside from a dream i had about an ex boyfriend last night, which would certainly not be appropriate to blog about, i'm about all out of interesting things to say. My life is pretty basic. And as far as i'm concerned that's completely fine with me. Excitement is highly overrated, and as a grown up, i have found that "excitement" usually entails a vehicle suddenly not working, or some inlaw crisis or another. I'll take boring any day!
OH wait. i DO have something interesting to talk about! Yesterday, we went for my first midwife appointment and we got to hear tadpole's heartbeat! I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow, and it was so reassuring to finally get to hear the little swimmy one!
Well, it appears free time is over... Anna has just coated herself in chocolate sandwich cookie filling, and i need to go de-slime her... later-- Rebecca

Ok, had to post here... someone sent me a link for this company, and i discovered that the Trail guide to Bible Geography from Geography matters can be downloaded there for FREE!!! Also they have lots and lots of other publishers, they are all ebooks, which is especially convenient for downloads like the anti-coloring book, I was also pleased to discover they have the Christian cottage unit studies broken down into individual units! i just bought Africa to go with our study of Africa that we are doing using hands of a child project packs! They also have an affilliate program, so i downloaded the banner. If anyone is interested, here it is!

Jan. 4, 2006 - wow, haven't posted since November!
And EARLY November at that! Wow, so much has been going on....
First and foremost, around the end of November we discovered i'm pregnant with #5 PTL! which we are very very excited and a bit nervous about, but the most immediate effect that has had on us is that i'm SICK. Really really sick... ALL the time. Ugg... So schoolwork has gone the way of... well, it really hasn't gone anywhere. actually, dh got frustrated and we set up a method where my oldest, Alex, who's 10 gets his math, free reading and subject related reading and Bible done, like before i get up, LOL, so that's good.. .but i'd like to get more history and science done. Our curriculum plan has gone completely to the birds, so i'm thinking about getting a hands and hearts middle ages kit and supplementing that with living books, and call it school! the HH history kits are very very fun and still managable since everything is included. anyway, so that's me in a very short nutshell :-) gotta get back to real life

Apparently i'm Revelation. It was a surprise, as the only question that seemed revelation-ish that i answered was what do people think of you (i'm crazy) LOL

Nov. 1, 2005 - An addendum to my gratitude post below
I've been meaning to post for ages, but just plain have gotten really bogged down with life.. sigh.. anyway... i had a funny story to add to the whole gratitude thing. It was a couple weeks ago, adn i was stressing, yet again about finances... dh adn i were on a date night, which we take once a month or so, and we were at our favorite greek place, and had ordered our favorite pizza.. and i was sitting there thinking "GOD is in control, STOP streessing about finances! but they just kept popping into my mind anyway. Well, it was a couple minutes later, when the waitress came to our table with our garlic bread and apologized profusely. It turns out she had dropped our pizza and would have to make another one. AND it would be FREE! Doesn't God have a great sense of humor? I thought that was hillarious! Like a sign "no, really don't stress about finances" LOL!!! thought y'all might appreciate that :-)

Anyhoo, i just discovered this site, which is sooooo cool. you post books you want to get rid of, and can choose books you want for free. its awesome. Sign up, because then there will be more homeschoolers, and we will have more likeminded people to choose from! when you do sign up, please add me as your buddy and email me to add you as well, that way we can sort of network as homeschoolers! I'm username mamakven by the way. OH and could you use me as a referral? (username-mamakven, email kvenvolden@comcast.net) i get a free book then :-) (which is TOTALLY NOT why i'm posting this, its just an added benefit. I'm hoping to increase the amount of homeschoolers so we have a greater pool of books to choose from :-)
here's the link, hopefully...

Oct. 5, 2005 - Gratitude
I'm having one of those overwhelming gratitude moments. You know, the ones that come maybe 1/100 as often as the pity party moments? I figured i'd savor the moment and take a few to write, so that when i'm having a pity party moment, or anyone else is, it will be a gentle reminder how greatful you and I are!
I've been stressing the past week and a half or so about money stuff... its rent week, and we've been in a financial rut for about 4 months, and that's going to continue until January when we can withdraw from a savings account we have. But anyway, iv'e been stressing about getting rent paid, and yet at the same time, rejoicing, knowing its all in the Lord's hands. WHILE stressing, i've been getting the overwhelming feeling that everything would be ok, to just trust God and pray. So i have, for the most part. Well today, everything came to a head. It was looking worse than i had even thought, and i had NO idea how i was going to get rent paid without $300 plus in fees, which would augment our NEXT month's money problems! I made one last phone call to the loan place that we had a loan out to that was coming out tomorrow, and asked if they could hold it until next friday, and they cheerfully not only agreed to do that but to hold it until Oct. 24th! AND not add any extra finance charges, so basically we got off with only one bank overdraft charge which is was sooooo much better than i could have ever hoped.
And you know, i've gotten to the point where the financial stuff doesnt stress me out all that much. It DOES stress me out, but i try really hard not to let it, and for the most part i'm successful. But the financial stuff is the least of the meat of life. First and foremost, I go to bed every night knowing that i'm a child of God. That He has taken me in as His own and that He can and will forgive all my indescretions. I can live life boldly, proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Moreso, i can do so with NO FEAR! I have the assurance that no matter what, God has promised me eternal life with Him, and God KEEPS his promises. God through his gift of Jesus Christ his son, has given me eternal security. And i can't think of anything less temporal than that.
However, that's not all he's given me! Last Saturday, Andrew, the love of my life and I, were able to renew our wedding vows at a church service. It was so wonderful. In front of the congregation, we got up and apologized to one another for any ways that we'd failed each other. Then each vowed forgiveness, and finally we vowed to KEEP our promise to love each other forever. It was so incredibly amazing. It's really made me give a lot of thought to marraige. How priceless and tenuous the whole thing is, particularily without God's assistance.
I've not even touched on the gifts of my amazing beautiful children. Each is so different and unique and gifted in their own ways... Its hard to imagine life without each of them.
Thank you Lord! You are truly faithful and beyond just, as you give me far more than I deserve!
Rebecca

Sep. 18, 2005 - WHO'S YO' MAMA????
Wahoo!
I have had the most heinous week! dh's grandpa died, and he decided, without my input, to fly to minnesota for 5 days. Suffice to say, i was none too pleased about being home alone with all 4 of my monkeys for a long time and losing a weekend! but it happened, so we cope. Anyway, it was very difficult. I already do all the cleaning and stuff, so that part of it actually turned out to be easier, and the house was LESS messy most of the time, if you can believe that! The kids all got cared for pretty well, not any less well than normally, possibly more since my attention was less divided! so that was a huge blessing! the problem was they were all missing their daddy terribly, especially the girls, the 4yo and the almost 2 yr old, so sleeping was difficult, showers were also difficult, but being stinky for a few days never killed anyone...
So anyway, our school schedule has been virtually nonexistant, but i decided it was time for alex, my 10yo to get back to math. He started with videotext algebra last spring, and has warp-speeded through the program. He's on module C now, 3rd of 6, and i decided it would really be best for me to do the program with him. By the time he completes module F, he will have completed prealgebra, algebra, and algebra 2. Soooooo.. if he has any problems, i woouldnt be able to help him. so, i'm doing the program with him, and we are learning together. Andy i'm PSYCHED. we did the first two lessons of module c and i discovered that....
I'M NOT TOO OLD TO DO ALGEBRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you tell i'm excited?? one of the surprise benefits of homeschooling ;-)

Aug. 26, 2005 - Discouraged...
Boy i'm discouraged today...
Its been a long summer.. lots of company, lots of stuff going on... lots of stress, NOT lots of decluttering and new school year prep like was the plan... sigh.. i guess that's the nature of plans eh? meant to be broken?
I'm finding everything seems to be working against me.. finances are messed up and i'm afraid to tell dh... maybe i can just sell enough stuff to make up for the difference... my dad might be able to loan me *more* money.. sigh... but he already thinks we don't make enough, but i KNOW its a matter of not using it wisely, i just don't want to be a horrible witness for Christians and large families..
So finances are messed up, the house is a mess, my brother is visiting, which is good but still stressful, my 10y is going through pre-puberty (i think) insanity, and my best friend just chewed me out something fierce via email, and it was totally not deserved. my keys have been lost for a week now, and its got my only mail key and only garage key, and the apt. complex doesnt hve an extra garage key so i'm going to have to get a locksmith, my dryer is broken, the dumb doctor when my dh went in for a sinus infection made him pay a past due bill which i though was like $25 but they insisted it was like $88 or something and yet they didnt have the paperwork, it was a hunch... uggg... all right before rent time of COURSE! ugg..
i guess the whole point of resting in Christ is being calm and secure even when it seems like everything around you is insecure and unstable. So i'm dealing.. but i'm not happy about it! but i'm trying.
Rejoice in the Lord always...

Aug. 1, 2005 - Parenting without a voice
I do mean that statement quite literally! My family has been battling some kind of flu/cold nastiness for the past several weeks. Yesterday, as my dh so eloquently put it, I sounded like "a messenger from munchkin land." Today the old voice finally bit the dust altogether. I'm down to a whisper. The effects of that have been quite remarkable! First, I can't yell. This is not entirely a bad thing! i'm AMAZED at the difference in mood around here, because while i dont make it a habit of screaming at my children, it happens all too often i'm afraid. Everyone's tension level seems so much lower, even mine! Secondly the house is a lot QUIETER! I tend to get kind of loopy when there's so much noise constantly surrounding me, but today has been really quiet. Not to mention that when i speak to everyone in a whisper, they tend to speak in a whisper back. Pretty cool eh? I also have to actually GO up the stairs to retrieve children, get their attention, etc. That means i can't make Alex do whatever i dont feel like, and i have to actually get their attention and make eye contact when speaking to them. Sounds like things i should have been doing all along perhaps? :-)

Jul. 25, 2005 - Wow! what a week!
Whew! Andy's vacation week was certainly eventful this time! Normally, we veg out, get some of the house clean, and occassionally go to Portland for a couple days or something, but this vacation was truly wonderful.
First, my visit with my dad went pretty well. We ended up going to the seattle aquarium and dad bought us a membership, so we can go back as much as we can manage it :-) I really thought the aquarium was really neat. kids too! So then sunday morning he left for the airport.. We went grocery shopping and stuff that morning, and got home to find several messages on our voicemail! turns out his flight was cancelled due to technical problems, and andy had to go get him, So he ran out to the airport and picked him up, around 5 pm, Grandpa Danny (andy's dad) showed up! which was a bit of a surprise because i STILL hadn't gotten the house properly cleaned, and we didnt realize he'd make it here that fast! but it was cool because we all got to have dinner together, Both grandpas and all of us had a salmon burger picnic. it was really nice.
Ok, so the next day, monday we hung out around the house in the morning and contemplated what to do for the day. We decided to go to Mt. Ranier. It was a looooong drive and anna screamed bloody murder most of the way, LOL as we tended to go out right at naptime, but we got to the mountain, visited the visitor building and hiked around for a long time. It was really neat... we stopped at the lodge and looked around at the gift shop and all the beautiful things in it... Chloe was admiring a native american beaded necklace Grandpa asked her if she liked it and she said Yes! Buy it grandpa! LOL!!!! so he did. so we went back, and drove home.
So then Tuesday, we went to the Seattle aquarium, which was really fun... wish we brought the camcorder along.
Wednesday, we went to the beach! Andy and the big kids went swimming and boating and Danny and Anna and i stayed back to watch. it was gorgeous out, Danny seemed to be having a really good time. He and Anna really bonded. I think that was the night we went out to old country buffet! yum...
Thursday was free museum day in tacoma, so we went to the art museum, which was super fun, they had a room full of art supplies and project ideas and the kids and me, hehehe were able to make our own art, till anna started to lose it, then we headed over to the museum of glass which was cool, we got to see a glass blowing demonstration, and chloe thought the William Wegman section was hillarious... the dogs in wedding dresses etc... anna was enjoying walking around saying "puppy" over and over again.. Ihop for dinner... yummy!
Friday we went to the Point defiance zoo and aquarium... SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun! they renovated it big time and there's soooooo much neat stuff... the kids got to feed the goats and we just had a most wonderful time. it was really incredible! we got most of the neat animal program on video, and the kids all sat for the whole thing even! it was incredible!!!!
Saturday, i went out with a friend in the morning, and we mostly hung out at home, going grocery shopping, etc.
Sunday we went to church and spent much of the day playing with our neighbors who just got home from their vacation on the lawn. The child count increased at that point from 4 to 9 so it was LOUD!
Today, grandpa left for MN, and we are hanging out watching the home video of the trip and lamenting that he can't stay longer.. it was the most wonderful vacation. We are all soppy adn teary. Andy said this was the best time he's had with his dad ever! I really got to know this incredible man, and i'm a changed person because of it. The memories he gave us on this trip is the most amazing gift we could recieve. I hope he's able to come back soon! Anyway, back to the children... thanks everyone for your suggestions and prayers!

Jul. 14, 2005 - a bad day....
Boy, its been chaos around here lately. We are taking the summer off, i'm "supposed" to be getting the house all organized and getting all the fun stuff we dont have time for in the year done... and my house isn't even CLEAN! its a disaster.. and tomorrow my dad is coming by, he's been in WA since monday, but has been at his girlfriend's. Well, he wants to go "do" something, touristy stuff... take a ferry ride or something. And we are just sorta at that point where its way stressful to take all the kiddos out places, particularily when andy's not here, which is the case since he can't get off work. I just wish he wanted to spend the time getting to know his grandchildren. Yes, it may not be very exciting hanging around the house, but its only for ONE day.. besides, its his grandchildren he only sees a couple times a year. But then this is MY value system, not his, so what to do?? i WANT to tell him to just go do tourist stuff himself if he has such a profound need to be entertained, but that would start a huge fight... sigh... i so don't need this right now. Andy's dad is coming to visit on sunday also, and i'm slightly stressed about that too.. ugg... Pray for me anyone who is willing please? :-)

Jul. 12, 2005 - a weblog..
Hello everyone! thanks for reading my blog! i've started a couple others... i think.. LOL but never quite got around to making it happen! This time i hope will be different.
My name is Rebecca Kvenvolden, i'm mom to 4 so far, Alex, 10, Nikolas, 6, Chloe, 4 and Annabeth, almost 2. I"m a SAHM/WAHM. I work part time as a freelance writer, currently writing for www.handsofachild.com but my real job is being a mommy. I homeschool myself and let my kids listen in :-D hahaha... no but really, i'm convinced i'm learning just as much as they are. And we are totally having a blast doing it. Its such a priviledge to be able to spend all day every day with my amazing blessings.. even if Anna is jumping up and down on the kitchen table, Nik is screaming bloody murder because he can't find the right shirt, and Alex is showing me his list of a bazillion prime numbers. Chloe is just sorta chillin, which is a relief, because i've reached my drama limit today! Thanks to Heather Mitchell, for posting her blog so i could copy her and make one :-D i've been meaning to do this for ages.
Reading my blog you will probably hear a lot about curricula as that's about my favorite earthly thing. :-D
Ciao!
