Oct. 12, 2007 - A long time coming.......
You all must have been wondering where I've been for so long. I have been going through a really bad patch both physically and mentally - the radio-active treatment I had several months ago was a complete waste of time (the tumour has continued growing) and I am now on a waiting list for a new trial drug. This, plus a lot of problems in the extended family have led to me being extremely depressed - I just have not felt like doing anything for such a long time!
Anyway, I have decided to pull myself up by the bootstraps and get on with things more. DH has suggested that I should get back into the "blogging habit" as a form of therapy - some of my posts might become rants or vents for frustrations, but I'm sure that you will not take anything personally! I've always found in the past that writing things down has helped to clear my mind - so why not do the same via this blog? Just bear with me!
Homeschool has continued as usual - DS is now at the stage where I can just leave him to get on with a lot of his "work" - he is currently studying American history, so I might be asking some of you for extra guidance along the way!! We have just finished off looking at the Mayflower settlers and are now moving towards studying William Penn and the Quakers in Pennsylvania.
Hopefully, I'll be back sooner rather than later this time!

Been missing you! Good to hear from you again, though sad to hear the news isn't good! :o( Feel free to rant and rave at us all you like, we can take it. I've never had someone use me for therapy before. More like needed therapy after knowing me....... LOL!
Keep us posted and feel free to ask any help you need. I'm from Pennsylvania, and my parents still live there. I'm praying for you!
