FOR TODAY (July 14th, 2008)

Outside My Window...it's cloudy and muggy.

I am thinking...I feel too hot and sticky!

I am thankful for...this blog where I can say things I cannot always say out loud and share my thoughts with others.

From the kitchen...sandwiches for lunch and something from the left-overs for dinner tonight.

I am wearing...brown trousers and a red/green T-shirt, bare feet and hair needs washing (again!).

I am creating...a happy home!

I am going...to try to be less "snappy" with those who love me.

I am reading..."The Sunday Philosophy Club" by Alexander McCall Smith.

I am hoping...to receive my curriculum order some time today.  Yes, it's BOX DAY!!

I am hearing...absolutely nothing - the house is completely peaceful!

Around the house...still more piles of ironing waiting to be done, books to be put away, all sorts of de-cluttering to do.

One of my favorite things...the taste of that first cup of tea in the morning.  Just the boost I need at the start of a busy day!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:  Monday - my Vitamin B12 injection at the doctors.  Tuesday - a new hair-do for myself.  Wednesday - as it was rained off last week, to go to visit my blogging friend DeeDeeUK and deliver a shawl I have knitted for her friend Nancy who is being treated for lung cancer.  Thursday - a day full of learning fun!  Friday - a thankful heart at the end of a busy week.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

Well, good day to you, too! Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me this morning (for me :).

Have fun getting your hair done tomorrow!! I just got mine cut last Friday after months and months of abuse from me, and it feels *wonderful*!! Nothing like a new 'do to make a girl feel pretty, is there?

Have a great time with DeeDee on Wednesday!! <sigh> I'm trying to get my husband to seriously consider a move to the UK - he could transfer within his company. He's looking at the Pacific Northwest, though, up in the Washington state area.

Have a lovely week! Sounds like you have a great one planned!

Blessings,
~Shani

Wow! And you think *I* have a busy week ahead! Reading about yours makes me tired. :)

Thanks for the anniversary wishes! You're the first to give them... on-line, in person, over the phone, in the mail, etc. :)

Thanks for your comment. I seem to be able to type or write better than I can verbally say things. Which makes blogging the perfect place to share.
I like the daisies! They're my favourite flower!

Since you are ironing anyway, you won't mind doing some of mine as well, would you? (grin!)

I greatly dislike ironing, and ironing in the summer with no a/c is even worse, but I do see it as one more way that I can bless my family. I am thankful that we have clothes to wear that need to be ironed and that I have a working iron with which to make the job that much easier.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving a comment. Yes, it is wonderful to have so many different birds...woodpeckers, hummingbirds, sparrows, flickers, and others, all gathered outside our window looking for food.

Box day is like Christmas at our house. I love it!!

I haven't read, or heard of for that matter, The Sunday Philosophy Club. I'll have to research that. Is it any good? My book list is growing and that list doesn't even include the books I need for school! :} (That's another list !)

Thanks for sharing,
Robyn
