I am soliciting prayers for my bestest Darling Friend Ali and her family. Her poor little ones have been sick for a few weeks now and she's been holed up in her home with them, not able to really go anywhere due to the frigid temps here in the arctic north. They were just starting to get better, or so it seemed, when just yesterday it came back for round 2! UGH!! And it's probably bad enough that we can't go over to help yet!! Double UGH!!

This is very stressful for her and on the family so if you could remember them in your prayers I know it would be greatly appreciated. You can also stop by her blog and let her know you're thinking about and praying for them.

Coughing, vomiting, fever...They are saying bronchitis and hopefully it won't progress to pneumonia. Their daughter Coie has posted an update on Jen's blog.

And, Jen's sister Gena and her family have been sick as well.

I just have to piggyback on Ali and Marsha's posts about the Garvey family.

This family needs our support right now. They were in a terrible car accident and everyone was injured (10 children + parents) when their van rolled over a few weeks back. The deepest loss is their 4 week old baby brother, who died in the accident. They will be grieving his loss at the funeral this morning, probably right now as I type these words.

Please keep this family in your prayers as the days go by and turn into weeks. There's a fund set up to help with expenses and you can get updates from their eldest daughter Sarah's blog. Please take a moment or two, or several, to pray for this family. You can stop by Sarah's blog to offer your prayers, support and condolences as well.

I can't even begin to fathom what they are going through. It breaks my heart and leaves me speechless. I am very humbled and sobered by this. Lord, it's in your hands...

Well, today is the day I go to work and give my 2 week notice. I am nervous, relieved and excited all at the same time. My honey is nervous too b/c of the financial weight of things, but we have talked about this A LOT and feel this is the time. I would greatly appreciate any prayers for us. This is a huge leap of faith and really difficult for us. I am still looking for another part time job, but the hourly wage doesn't have to be as much. So, we will be trying to live on less money. This can be very nerve-racking. I know that the Lord will honor our decision and provide for us. I am looking into cleaning houses by appointment and taking on a part-time babysitting gig. We are still not sure what will come next, maybe even a few hours at the grocery store cashiering or at Target stocking...

I have to get some things together before I go in for my shift tonight, but I'll update and give a bit more backround soon. The Lord is awesome and faithful!

P.S.Schooling is going great! Love is getting mostly A's and a few B's in her work. I am so proud of her! I am proud of myself to for keeping things going and plugging away and staying on task. This has been a much better year so far and we are enjoying it a lot!

I wanted to blog about how I was feeling but thought it would be too incriminating. I guess I just want to ask if whoever sees this, could you please pray for us? We are going through a tough time and need the prayers of the saints to lift us up to the throne of God's grace. It's not about death or life or disease. It's about going through a valley in an area of my life that I just have to believe-by faith-will bring us to the river of God's joy.
