Friday 22 July 2005 - Hello and Welcome!

I have decided to take the plunge and become a blogger, not because I think I have anything noteworthy to say, but rather to try to deal with the voices in my own head that seem to go 'round and 'round constantly.

I have seven children, five girls and two boys, ranging in age from 3 to 15 .  We have always homeschooled, and it is one of my favourite things.  I have a terrific husband who supports me emotionally and spiritually as well as financially in my endeavors, and rarely complains about my lousy housekeeping habits.  We currently live in Central Texas, but my heart's home is the Pacific Northwest.

I have enjoyed reading many of the blogs here, and I look forward to becoming a part of the Homeschool Blogger community.

Welcome aboard. The world of blogging is a lot of fun, if not a bit overwhelming at first. Blogging is a great way to encourage kids to write. I get the feeling that homeschoolblogger is a brand new circle of bloggers, and I am glad to be a part of it. Please check my blog out - this one and my personal one called "Gentle Breezes. I grew up an hour west of Seattle in the Pacific Northwest. So I know of the splash of rain on the Sound, of the distant toot of the ferry, and the majesty of Mount Rainier holding court in the clouds.

Welcome! I am a mom of 8. Central Texas is a pretty good place once you find your niche. We lived there for 15 years but are now North of the Red River. Hope you enjoy it around here.
