Friday 25 September 2009 - This Week (and last week) in the Olive Grove

We are winding down the year here in the Olive Grove.
We finished quite a few of our books over the past two weeks:

The Wonderclock
God's Marvels in Washington
The Complete Book of Nonsense
The House at Pooh Corner
Lulapalooza finished his nature & history reads
J~Man finished his science & literature
Toodles finished Flower Fairies of the Trees

And we will finish a few more next week:

The Complete Tales of Beatrix Potter
When We Were Very Young
Pilgrim's Progress
The Awakening of Europe

We listened to some Gershwin.

On Monday the temperatures were in the mid-90s, but, right on schedule, Autumn arrived, bringing a cold front and 60-degree temperatures with her!
We welcomed the season with a special TeaTime:

Spiced Apple Cider & Apple Pie Coffe Cake
Candy Corn
Pumpkin-scented orange candles
Some Autumn Poetry
Some crafting
And, of course, Vivaldi

Sgt. Elf and I had a lovely day at the art museum.

I managed to get a lot of cleaning and decluttering done!

Today, daddy took the day off of work and took the kids and UncleB camping, so that I can enjoy some down time and maybe get some more housekeepy things accomplished.
