Sep. 7, 2006 - Good Morning
I love this early time of day. My hubby has left for work and no one else is quite awake. Praise and worship music coming from the CD player. A great cup of coffee in front of me. Crisp air coming in all the open windows. I'm trying to get a few things done for school today and checking emails, soon I'll grab my bible and maybe even sit outside as it get light. God sure created wonderful things for us didn't He?
The day starts beautifullly and if I can remember what it is He has called me to do, the rest of the day can be just as AWESOME. But, to often, I get caught up in the little details of being mama to a bunch of oh so human little (and big) ones and I forget. I forget to take time to stop and enjoy the music, or the colors or the sensations of holding a little one in my lap. On one of my lists a lady said that at 42 with a 3 yr old of her own she wasn't ready to be a granma even tho she already has married children. I wrote to her and told her what a blessed time this can be! With one grandson (same age as our 9th child) and another one on the way I know that being a mama/grandma can be a fantastic period in life. I am still praying the Lord will visit us again and add another BLESSING in our life.
I guess all this rambling is to remind anyone who has taken the time to read this far to go give the children an extra hug, kiss and a tickle. When you look outside as part of a school project this morning GO outside and sit in God's CREATION.
I am listening to Amazing Love right now and I have to agree: It's my JOY to honor HIM! so today i will do so by loving everything HE has created. The world. the people in it and my family. Won't you join me by doing the same?

I pray for the same kinds of things that you do. I'm trying so hard to be content with the children I have, but it's hard to know that my "baby" will soon be 4 years old. I pray for another little blessing too...but I'm guessing that yours will be coming first!
