Sep. 18, 2006 - Morning!
Well once again it has been a week or more since I have typed a word here. Does anyone else feel like they are on a fast moving train? and sometimes not sure of the destination? LOL!
Well I guess I know my ultimate destination! So that said maybe I should spend a bit more time researching how I should be getting there. NOPE that doesn't mean I missed out on the salvation plan--just that I am really trying to STOP and LISTEN to how God would have me spend my time left on this earth. Obviously since he has blessed us with 12 awesome children I get to spend most of my time being a mom and now a grandma!!! That is a pretty cut and dried part of my life description-- MOM and GRANDMA, but what does that mean.. HMMM, well I have been called to homeschool so we add homeschooling mama to that. OK Been doing that for 11 yrs now and I only have major panics over it a couple of times a year. LOL!
So what else? This is where you all come in. I would love it if all you homeschool moms would share with me what you feel your top three priorities are. It will be a fun thing to look at the answers and it should spark some great discussions!

Sep. 18, 2006 - This is a great question
1 - love God - work on following Him as best I can. (Running the race...)
2 - love my family - which of course, includes homeschooling, but also includes loving my husband too and caring for all of them. I never felt particularly "called" to homeschooling like many people have - it is just the right choice for our family right now.
3 - love my neighbor. In some ways this works out okay - I think I'm pretty nice and caring to the people I know. But in other ways - especially in reaching out, I don't do so well. I let the busy-ness of life get in the way of helping others.

Sep. 18, 2006 - Hmmm..., TOP 3?
2) Family-
a) Being my husbands best friend. Encouraging him, loving him, spending time with him.
b) Teaching my children about God and before they leave my home how to have their own quiet time.
3) Serving others with HIS Love

Sep. 18, 2006 - Top 3!
1) Love God and do his will for my life. This includes spending time with him via prayer, reading his word, and worship.
2) Love and serve my family by being the best wife and mom I know how to be. This includes making an effort to learn how to do a better job of being wife and mom by studying and reading the Bible, learning from others, and of course, lots of prayer.
3) Show the heart of God to my sphere of influence. My sphere includes my friends, my neighbors, my aquaintances at the places I frequent (fitness ctr, Kroger, bank, etc.), and of course, my church. This year God has shown me it includes the adoption Lifebook group I am leading and the local play group of moms with adopted Chinese girls. Just recently he showed me it also includes all the members of all the Yahoo groups I hang out in. You may never know how you might touch someone else's life by your actions and your comments!
