Nov. 8, 2006 - Share from my online salt and light group
Good morning!
I know it has been awhile since I have posted and I'll write more soon-- really I will! But for know thought I'd post my share from my online study group. I was feeling badly that I hadn't really felt inspired to share . then realized it was because I hadn't asked The Lord what He would have me share!I I don't know why I work so hard at things myself when all it takes is giving them over to God. I am so thrilled He is willing to teach me over and over again. cause I sure do not seem to learn things the first time...
My Memory verses are currently Luke 2 as I have always wanted to be able to recite the story of Jesus Birth. However for this week I will also add:
Acts 2:28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.
This verse just leaped off the page when I was asking for something to share...
This is a reminder that I have NEEDED for quite some time. It is so easy to get bogged down on the everdayness and the not so everyday things and not take JOY in the Lord's presence in my life. He created me to PRAISE Him and I do not often enough give heed to doing that.
If I am honest there are way to many times that my scripture reading is just that, reading. Putting in my time and getting it done. I want to read as a way to know Him, to learn what He would have me DO, SAY, LIVE OUT! I want to be full of Joy in His presence and to do that I need to be in His presence, not merely in proximity to His word.
My prayer for today is that we would all take time to Praise Him today and always. He loves each of us and we need to not only remember that but believe it and act accordingly.
