So since our very first baby, we've taken them around 7 weeks to get their picture taken with a feather boa - it was just what the first studio did, and then we wanted to match, and then we *had* to match after we had two the same :) - now we've got six hanging above our dining room table, and one more sitting, framed on the table, waiting for a laser level, a hammer and a nail (and mama to clamber up on a chair!)...
She is such a sweet baby, so happy during the shoot, then she nursed and fell asleep while we picked out the package of photos (which they print out right there, so it took me about 45 min from bringing my freshly bathed, full tummied baby in, to walking out with a still happy baby and a nice little package of pictures (enough for us, grandparents, great grandparents, and the aunties/uncles too...) That's a nice improvement since our first baby!
I went back later and bought bedding plants - they had them free with a coupon of ten stamps (when you buy groceries there, they give you stamps - you are supposed to collect them and stick them on these paper coupons, and then you can redeem them for butter, eggs, milk, or... bedding plants! I'm so happy as the stuff i plant from seed never works (doesn't help that we keep moving to harder and harder gardening zones - right now we are (no joking) in zone 0a or 0b - pretty much the worst. - but for a few days at least i'll have flower in my front yard!
and even if the plants don't last long, i've got sweet little faces to look at in my house :) and one more sweet face up on the wall...
