but i told my husband that if he offered, i wouldn't refuse... it was raining, it's my birthday, my neck is sore from i have no idea what?... so i got changed, gave the baby to my big boy and we took off... the sun was going down (around 9 p.m.), the sky was getting pink, we ran out to the pond and ran around the nature boardwalk - stopped to see the mama beaver silently swimming to her lodge, back to the main streets, across the school yard and back home. Dh tried mapping it on mapmyrun.com and we came up with maybe 4 km in 40 min. I think that's pretty slow, but i was trying really hard to run *correctly* like dh taught me - i'm still pretty inflexible, but i was keeping my hands and mouth loose, and "plant and rolling" my feet instead of slapping them... i felt like i was just pretending to run, but now that i'm home i feel like all my parts are going to fall into a big unconnected puddle of limbs and sweat, so must have been a good run... So nice in that sweet warm spring air, too - hard to believe just last week we had that huge snowstorm! There was still some snow in the woods, but it stays a LONG time in the deeper shadows...
