Oh, i wish i could bring my camera along when we run!
We left a houseful of happy satisfied children and a plate licked clean of silver dollar sized pancakes (we ate ham and eggs, but pancakes were the request of the little ones) and took off into the snow.
It's just lightly sifting down, as it has most days for the past five days - the ground isn't frozen, or hard on my feet as i pound steadily by T's side.
We enter the woods, and there is a total quiet that only comes in the winter months. Most birds are gone, and no little animals surprise us in the woods as we run, not even a squirrel.
T and I have recently switched to a paleo diet (see our new blog here ) and as he ran, he noticed how little his asthma was bugging him - usually the cold air does him in, even using his puffer before we leave, but today it was cold, and he hadn't used it and still breathed easily - he's attributing it to his new diet.
I, on the other hand, have nothing spectacular to report resulting from our new regime, but it feels so nice to slip out of the house for 34 minutes and do our 5 k + run. Just to be with my husband, and talk over the long weekend plans (apparently those are to let everyone stay in pyjamas all day and let T make the whole Thanksgiving dinner including dessert on his own).
