Last week was bad for us. We had school, but I wasn't much of a teacher. More of a body sitting at the computer zoned out than anything else. Printed off the list of things I wanted the kids to do. That was all I did. My boys, worked and never complained and still they did it their work. How horrible! I feel so guilty and bad. My kids need me to be there for them. Focused on what's going on in their school subjects. Not selfishly involved in nothing.
Even though I had two kids sick with head colds and one getting over one, it wasn't a good excuse to be lazy. Starting tomorrow, I'm getting up early and starting my day with God. I've gotten away from doing that, my alone time with Him. It sure shows. Get the boys up and let them have time with God too. Then we can start our day together at the kitchen table instead of the living room. Computer time only after we get school & chores done. Man...that is gonna be hard. But with God, all things are possible. |
