I have been spending my time at a more private blog :) We are happy to announce that come spring our family will be moving out of New Mexico and into Missouri. We recently were blessed with buying a building/apartment in a town in northeast Missouri and plan to open a business there! We are very excited about this new opportunity in our lives and cannot wait to move and get started! We are looking forward to making new friends and finding new fellowship when we get there! :) |
It is time to head in that direction.. We have taken too much time off now. I am looking forward to getting back into the work. We plan on doing an indepth study into our Government and how it works.. Hopefully with a trip to DC in July as our reward ![]() |
Yesterday My hubby and I went out to buy Sierras birthday gifts.. He had to work on his days off so that was our first chance! I thought of the perfect gift for her.. She has been teaching herself to draw, mostly horses..and is doing a fantastic job! I found drawing paper and pencil and other items to go along with that. She has also been writing childrens books about horses and illustrating them herself.. I hope to encourage that writing :) Now my big surprise! As I was walking through the store, I felt hands touch my back and hubby whispers "close your eyes" UH OH I felt just a whisper of something across my neck and then he says "Open them" I look down and see the diamond necklace I had been admiring for a long time! Ohh Its beautiful.. Here is a picture :D ![]() He spoils me way too much lately.. Last week he bought me a laptop! I am blessed with this man ![]() |

We found out that our newest blessing had already gone to be with the Lord.. I was 15 weeks pregnant but our little one did not have a heartbeat and was measuring at only 13-14 weeks. We chose to wait for my body to miscarry naturally and 5 days later on Feb 11th we had our little boy at home. We held him and measured him and named him Caden Josiah. He was so sweet.. we were able to count his fingers and toes and see that he was a boy, we had been almost sure we were having a girl this time LOL We took pictures and laid him in a beautiful box his daddy found.. HIs oldest sister, Chandra, had crocheted a blanket and bonnet for him during the time after we knew he was gone and we put those on him. We laid him to rest at my aunts mission right next to a Maple tree, how fitting! It is a beautiful area that they are beginning to turn into an ornamental garden.. I am looking forward to the finished yard. As hard as this time has been, it has also been a blessing for us as a family, in our relationships with each other and with the Lord. I am thankful for that. ![]() |

Tomorrow, March 5, is my 3rd childs 17th birthday.. Where do the years go? Sierra was born on Monday March 5, 1990 in Ohio.. she weighed 7 lb 12 oz. She is a blue eyed blonde who prefers animals to anything else.. and loves horses most of all. :) March 27 will be hubbys birthday.. I cant blog how old he is, I'll get in trouble ;) We met 23 years ago on April 18th in Arizona. He was my best 16th birthday present :) I met him just a week after that birthday and married him 15 months later.. July 13th we will celebrate 22 years of marriage.. Time flies when you are having fun! One more March birthday, my sweet baby Seth will be 1 on March 29th. He is such a joy! What a doll this boy is with his blue eyes and blonde hair.. Hes a mommas boy :) Seth was my biggest baby at 8 lb 6 oz How glad am I that it is March?! Let me count the ways! |

Oh what a Joy! It is just around the corner and I am so thankful for it. I am also thankful for March, February has been well horrendous and having spring coming helps.. A new spring, A new Season, A new start for me :) My little Seth is turning 1 this month.. already! I tell people hes still 10 months as there was no February 29th so he goes straight from 10 months to 1 year ;) He is such a joy.. has been a comfort and blessing to me through the recent loss of our 9th blessing. I am blessed! I am going to try and spend a little time in my blog every day now.. I need to add new pictures of all our children :) I hope this is a way my friends can still keep in touch with what is going on at Maple Cottage. |
This is how I feel today! Oh and welcome to my first homeschoolblogger blog :) It is Fathers Day and my hubby is in Oklahoma visiting his Dad. I am glad he was able to go, but it sure is hard to be here without him. He will be home Tuesday morning and the kids and I are frantically trying to get the house clean and paint the living room as a surprise for him. I know he'll enjoy coming home to a neat house thats just a bit different than when he left. |
