June 12th will be my 44th wedding anniversary.   On our 25th anniversary I told a clerk in the grocery store that I had been married 25 years and she exclaimed, "25 years with the same man!"  I wonder what her response would be to 44 years with the same man? 

I just recently bought the book, Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus. One would think that after 44 years of marriage that there wouldn't be very much I wouldn't know about relating to my husband.   However... I find that there are many ways in which men and women are different about which I need to be reminded!  Every chapter I have read so far causes me a "V8 moment!"

I love being married to my husband.  Life with him is warm, secure, fun, sometimes irritating and never boring.  I look forward to as many more years of marriage as we are given by God with anticipation.

congrats, by the way. 44 years is pretty amazing! i hope we make it as long...but with such good role models...there's no reason why we won't. i don't even hope...i KNOW we will (barring unforeseen disasters and what-not...)
