| Luke has had a great fascination with the Titanic for a few years now and then discovered a great documentary on another great ship called the S.S. Republic. We have a doc. film with one of the last surviving passangers relaying the story through the eyes of her youth. HoC has a great unit study of the Titanic so we need to get to writing out what we have gathered thus far. I read the book published about the Titanic several years ago before I was married I'd like to get that book for Luke some day. It has a lot of spiritual insight. Luke has viewed the doc. of the S.S. Rebublic several times and has come back to me daily rattling off interesting points. One very spiritiual observation he's made has been the godly attitude of Mr. Nichols a surviving passanger as shown in his letter to his wife " We suffered everything but death.Thanks to God we've arrived this morning. Safe! " |
