Maplewood Cottage Home-Lessons

• Aug. 5, 2007 - Exercise

We normally take daily walks as well as extended walks on a regular basis.

The kids have great endurance for this. The usually enjoy exploring as we go along or just talking with me.

They earned new bikes this summer and learned to ride without training wheels.

We are not a family that is big on sporting but we do toss a ball, kick ball, play frisbee, play racing games, and do exercises  with our Harris  manuel  with music.

We were very thankful for some nice gifts from relatives this spring. These included a beautiful catchers mitt, various balls, and a sprinkler.

The boys don't swim yet although we have attempted to work with them on this. Next year we hope for Dad to be able to take them to a local place and teach them.

Timmy especially is natural with anything physical.

We live down the street from the local rec park and visit regularly.

Timmy is awesome on the monkey bars!

Lots of climbing!!!! Sliding.

Both boys have learned to pump their legs to swing themselves!

We have our own small swing set.
