• Jan. 22, 2008 - Anniversary of Roe v Wade
I can't express everything that has been going on in my heart and mind over the last months but I do know the Lord is putting a lot of things on my heart concerning abortion and healing.
And really just the need for our nation as a whole to turn our hearts toward Him.
There is so much pain and grief that ebbs away at one's life particularly one that has never turned to Him.
Those of us that have committed our sin and grief to Him in the past may find we need to go back and submit anew again to continue growing in our spiritual lives and to live a healthy life unto Him.
I believe this year is that for me. And my husband as well.
I do not want to be hindered in my usefulness for Him because of anything!
These are somethings we are meditating on.
I have this huge Andrew Murray book that has 3-4 of his books within! My dh and I are reading it together...as well as George Mueller
and my Streams in the Dessert devotional...
My Bible reading/studies are now mostly in Isaiah/ Jer./ Psalms
A lot about healing and drawing near to the Lord. And the Lord is giving me opportunities to share the book
Lord Heal My Hurts by Kay Arthur w/biblestudy I completed years ago and picked up again.
I also have a book/ biblestudy that I went through when I was first married that a lady from my old church wrote that ministers to Christian Marriages I am rereading that too and praying it can be used to bring more growth in my marriage and give me a means to share with other wives that are egger to learn of Him.
I also have re read the Home courtship, marriage and children John R Rice - Me Obey Him by one of his daughter's.
I ordered some Randy Alcorn books that were on deep discount for the month on Abortion, the b/c issues etc... and praying that may be a means for ministry as well.
I have many tracts and other literature that is perfect to give to the new believer and I am refreshing my mind of the gospel scriptures... and biblical doctrinal points/ verses.
My local and far away churches that feed us are BOTH in Acts; it is exciting to see what the Lord is doing
My kids and I have been reading through the Little House Series and are almost ready to start number four.
We will read it to the old folks in the nursing home down the street. As well as picture books we get from the library weekly.
My dh and I will be reading some of Crown Financial's books.
**I am currently waiting to read more on birthing I skim a few blogs and lists but slowed down on those studies for now. Though I have been so encouraged about the Christian Birthing Ministries and groups.
Well on to reading time!
