I was browsing the Lifestyle of Learning site the Howshalls offer and was blessed by their article on recommended books for child training as well as the point that was made on using discernment.
I happen to have read most of the books that they suggest. And felt similar about the strong and weak points in each book.
I recently have done some more soul searching on our family's experience in training the children.
And feel that the idea of using spanking as the exclusive form of correction is not something we will be moving into. I'd been spending time under some teaching that was pushing spanking as the only truly biblical way of correcting the children and it became burdensome to say the least.
