Randomly Organized Update

I blogged about our weekend on Monday.  Did you read it?  Nope, you didn't.   I lost it before it got posted.  I have pictures to post at the end of this blog, and I'm going to let those tell most of the weekend's story.  Don't they say a picture is worth a thousand words?  I'll spare you some words today.

I will say that our camping experience wasn't our best.  We'll go camping again of course.  We all love to go camping.  However, disgusting bathrooms (I'm putting that mildly), rain, and noisy camping neighbors did not make this a camping experience that we want to remember much of.  Sunday, however, was a great day. The weather was ideal.  The kids played and rode bikes all morning.  We roasted hot dogs for lunch, and then we headed to a local park's aquatic center and had a blast!  That park also has a campground.  We're seriously thinking that our next camping adventure may be there instead of where we were this time.

The last couple of days have been spent running around.  At least that's how I feel.  I've been super-busy.  I've been working to get my lia sophia business started, amongst other things.  I love getting a little more dressed up than usual and wearing great jewelry.  I am enjoying getting things started.  My first show was last night, and I thought it went well.  I have another show on Saturday, and I'm praying about that one as well.

As I'm starting a business, Eric is still looking for a ministerial job.  We have some definite possibilities that we would most definitely appreciate you praying about with us.  We still aren't sure exactly what God is going to ask of us, so please join us in praying and preparing our hearts and minds for whatever it is He has for our family in what we believe is the very near future.

On top of the possibility of moving, I'm also thinking ahead to school.  I should be, right?  It seems like it is just around the corner, and I need to start thinking about getting myself organized.  So much to do.  The good news is that I have exciting new curriculum to get into!  We're using My Father's World and Math-U-See this year for the first time.  I can't wait, but, at the same time, I feel like we've been so busy lately that a little down-time would do us some good before we dig into another school year.  2nd grade.  Can you believe it?  I can't.

I'm not sure where I thought this blog was headed when I started, but it definitely ended up being rather random, don't you think?  Maybe even a little scattered.  Ah, well.  I think I'm a little scattered lately, so you are blessed to read my randomly organized thoughts.  I organized them into paragraphs at least!

Anyway...check out the pictures.  Maia's 2nd birthday party was Saturday, which was so much fun.  2nd birthdays are always fun.  She was so cute sitting in her thinking chair (think Blue's Clues).  Definitely look at those!  The camping pictures don't actually have a lot of camping in them since it rained so much, but there are a few and some swimming pics as well.

I looked at all your pictures yesterday but my computer is giving problems right now and so I wasn't able to comment. Anyway, I loved all the pics. Even in the rain the kids still looked like they had fun. I LOVED Ava's wild hair photot. The facial expression she had really made the picture awesome. A nice picture to show her husband someday. :)

About Me

This blog is intended for you to see a part of who I am. I seek to worship God from the moment my eyes flutter open until my head hits the pillow at night. I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend to many. I believe that the experiences I have each day have a spiritual impact on my life. My husband and children teach me new things each day. I am passionate about family, music, and education, and if you stop by often, you'll see writings about each of these topics. I welcome comments and opinions that are different from mine. I believe we grow when we are forced to examine someone else's opinion and beliefs. I am honored that you have stopped by to read this. Thank you for blessing me by being here right now. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
