Trip to Knight's Ferry

Posted at 9:12 PM on May. 9, 2008

We went to the Iris Garden and Knight's Ferry for a homeschool field trip. Here is a picture of the Knight's Ferry bridge: Photobucket

It is the longest covered bridge this side of the Mississippi river. The original bridge was washed away by a flood in 1862. Then in 1863, this bridge was bulit.

We went passed the battlefield where I died.... just kidding...I only died for about 10-15 min.

My family is planning to go to Pennsylvania in June..can't wait because we will be going to the Gettysburg

battlefield!!! To you non-Civil War geeks (including my dad) that was one of the most important battles of the war.
