As you know by now if you read the last entry yesterday was my birthday....I now have my haversack (Haversack were used to hold your food rations and other personal items). Now all I have to get is my cartridge box, cap pouch, ground cover, and a gun case.

We are now planning to go to a reenactment in Thousand Oaks in Moor Park. The website said that the battlefield has a cornfield and some fences which would be really cool to be in....but we going as spectators......

Hello!

The title of your blog caught my attention, and I had to come see! My family does some reenacting also--on the civilian side of things. We go to some small-ish forts in our area, but it's still a blast. If I were a guy, I guarantee you I'd enlist... *grin* That's wonderful that you're getting involved! Have you ever been to the annual Gettysburg reenactment? I've been to Gettysburg, but not during the event...I'd love to go to that some time.

Well, excuse the ramble. Have a great day!

~Beth
