There are three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get un-birthday presents ... and only one for birthday presents, you know. - Lewis Carroll

Posted in Life

I am or have played in many different sports over the years.  I might be forgeting a few but I think that the list reads like this: Tee-ball, soccer, basketball, tumbling, swimteam, cheerleading and volleyball.  (My dad is really into anything competitive.)

I was recently in club volleyball,  Now maybe It was that I knew no one there, that all the other girls went to school together or that because I am so tall that everyone expected me to pick it up easily.  The girls where rude and some just downright mean.  I was humiliated that whole season just waiting for it to be over.  Now that I look back on that season of "torture", I wonder if I had been more out going would they have liked me more, If I had not been so  busy wondering what they where saying behind my back and laughing about during water break if I could have played better?  While all, some or none of these maybe true, I realize that also during this time of my life I had become farther from God.  Before, and during that season I had slowly drifted apart from him.  I was so consumed with my own thoughts, ambitions and trials that I started putting God after every thing else.  I would talk to God at night only if I could not get to sleep, but other wise my life at that time had very little time for God.  I know now that God also used that experiance to bring me closer to him.  When you don't see the reason why things don't work our like you want them to, remember:  "To everything there is a season and a purpose under heaven." -Ecclesiastes 3:1

Ha, I sat down and thought I was going to write about sports.

In Him

Hi, I like your blog. You're a good writer. I love sports too. You know what, in middle school ( which wasn't long ago) I went to a private school. I don't now, but that's off the subject. I played just about every sport you could mention. During those years I had gained a lot of weight. And it didn't matter what sport I played. I constantly got made fun of to my face, and behind my back. Not just for my weight but the way I would get nervous on the field or court during games. It was a tough season in life for me. I wasn't very close to God then, not like I am now. But I have this verse that I think will forever remain true about that season of my life. It's Romans 5: 3-5. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.I guess to sum it up, it's that God was building character in my life. For His ultimate Glory. I've been through some other tough stuff too. I think we all have but it's the endurance in and through Christ that makes us stronger and gives us an everlasting hope. Anyway sorry to make it so long.
I originally just stopped to say hi, and I like your blog. I hope you'll let me add you as a friend.

Hey Nina!
Thanks for the comment!
The way I got all my stuff on my side bar is for like my c-box is I went to like cbox.ws and made an account and then when I was done I copied the code and pasted it in my Template(which is found in settings) wherever I wanted. Same thing with my playlist. And then you can go to poqbum.com and get all this other stuff like, clocks, lava lamps, calenders, pretty much anything. And just copy the code and do the same as the c.box ect.
Hope that helps!!

God Bless,
