Jan. 1, 2009 - New Years
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I hope you all had a great, fun and safe new years eve. Some of my family came to visit over Christmas break and we've been having a blast. I think this is the first time in 3 years I have stayed up 'till mid-night and watch the ball drop.
Last year my new years resolution was to read through the Bible in a year. I was right on track untill about July. Instead of going at my reading each day with a heart that wanted to learn, I had become hurried and instead of using that time to be still. I was in a rush with the motovation of getting it over as fast as I could. I realized that what I was doing was wrong and stopped my hurried pace. I almost never got as much reading as before but I could feel that I was learning more and able to live out what I had read more and more in my every day life. I don't want to discourage any one who made that resolution but rather to encourage and remind you to keep it about what you can learn and how you can better glorify God.

Here we come 2009!!!

Hi!
It's great that you're interested in starting a group for girls. if it's something the Lord has put on your heart, then I would whole-heartedly recommend it! I've learned so much personally.
If you would like some more information about Bright Lights and the material we use, you can check out this site : www.brightlights.info

Reading your Bible through in a year is a great goal, but it is also good to slow down and take your time, and really concentrate on what God is trying to tell you. Good job on reading your bible!
Yes, I would be very happy to add you to my friends list. Thank you for all the compliments on my blog!

Thanks for your comment . . .it really is a comfort to know that we do not have to be ruled by stage fright, but can trust the Lord even in that!

Yes, I think so too. Brandon Heath is one of my favorite artists now, all because of the "Give Me Your Eyes" song that I heard on the radio. Amazing song, btw.
