Life's little moments

• Apr. 16, 2007 - Monday, Again

Last week was one that I am glad to see in the rear view mirror of life.  James (my husband) messed up his back and was in terrible pain for most of the week.  He was in bed most of the time.  He tried hard to keep moving so it wouldn't completely seize up on him, but it was hard.

It is amazing what it takes out of you to watch someone hurt.  I feel so revived today as he is so much better.  It wasn't so much the rushing to get ice packs, heat pads, pillows etc.  It wasn't the massages, or the helping him dress that wore me out, no it was watching someone I love hurt.  Your gut just squeezes up inside and you hurt too.  Although he is much better today, might even get in a half day at work, I know it will be a while before he is back to his old self.  However, the worse is over.... unless he over does it.

Potty update........

Heidi is doing extremely well, much better than I had hoped for.  I beleive that so far she has been one of my easiest.  I am truly thankful to have an easy trainer this time.  I am still embracing the darling changes that are coming over her way too fast.  She is a talker, and that is fun.  We can always get the idea of what she is talking about now, and she comes up with some funny things.  The other day she had the whole family laughing so hard it was unbeleivable.  She brought her dolly up to Daddy and while holding her up began to tell Daddy what her baby said.  She wiggled her little body around got the mimick voice and acted like her dolly was talking baby talk.  It was beyond darling and had us all laughing.  She had no idea why it was so funny, but if we all thought it was that great, she'd just repeat it, and repeat it, and repeat it.  I'm so glad that we have her, God knew what he was doing, a baby is so theraputic.

Hope you all have a great day!

Sorry to hear about your husband's back. Hope it's getting better. I have problems once in a while, same one over and over. Can hardly walk or turn over in bed. Then one night I tensed up and sneezed and felt something pop, and it was gone! Next time it happens, I'll have to lay down and start sneezing. Or else get up the courage to go to a chiropractor.
Uh.
Thanks for your visit. Yeah....I wonder what they pay some of these guys!!

I was over here yesterday and read your post, but I couldn't leave a comment. So here I am again, and voila' its working..yahoo!!

I know that sick feeling when someone you love is hurting. Its awful Gale! I'm sorry that you have been feeling that way lately...ugghhh.

Okay, here is the deal, those pictures of Heidi are seriously so adorable and cute!!! I know I keep saying it, but OBVIOUSLY it's true! Roman is jibbering now and using his hands to talk, since we do that in this house alot... I just love to see their personalities begin to shine through. They do make the day more fun and joyful.

Heidi is crazy adorable!! She is talking that much huh? Hailey is finally starting to talk more, but nothing like that. Heidi will she have to be patient when they get older and be kind to her slooow friend Hailey..lol

Sorry to hear about James's back. I remember a time when Sean had terrible tooth aches and was in such extreme pain. I remember the feeling of hopelessness, and all I could do was pray. I am glad to hear he is doing some better.
I just LOVE that picture of Heidi...I wish I could just reach out and pick her up, and hug and kiss on her. It looks like she is getting cuter by the minute! Man I miss you guys! Take Care.
Love,
Marisela

Oh my Gale... Well, a baby is very therapeutic in deed. It really helped me heal and in a way, our family too. I forgot what seeing your baby can do for you deep inside. And yet, on the flip side. I can't get nothing really done. And when he sleeps I say hello to everyone on here. Wow I can not believe I confessed that.

Teresa

I will keep praying for James! Glad he is doing better.
