Family Fun Festival

Posted in Family

Hannah surprised us all yesterday by organizing and holding a family fun festival for us!  Equipped with invitations and all she was determined to get us to spend some much needed quality fun time together.  So I closed my school planning books and "forced" myself to go have the best time I've had in a long time!  Thank the Lord for kids!  We played all sorts of fun stuff like log rolling, basketball in the basket, baseball, and bubble blowing.  She even provided two chairs just in case Mom and Dad got tired and needed to sit down (does she think we're getting old or something)!  So thank you to my darling daughter for a festive and fun fall time!!  I love you higher than the sky.

Charlotte Mason Quotable
"It would be well if we all persons in authority, parents and all who act for parents, could make up our minds that there is no sort of knowledge to be got in these early years so valuable to children as that which they get for themselves of the world they live in. Let them once get touch with Nature, and a habit is formed which will be a source of delight through life. We were all meant to be naturalists, each in his degree, and it is inexcusable to live in a world so full of the marvels of plant and animal life and to care for none of these things." --Charlotte Mason, Vol.1, p. 61
