Since the weather has turned colder and the snow has been on the ground here, we've been blessed to be visited by many very hungry birds.  Our feeders have been quite busy!  There have been all the ones that we usually see in summer; such as American Goldfinches, House Finches, Tufted Titmouses, and  White-Breasted Nuthatches.  I was fortunate enough to snap a few awesome pictures through our window recently.

But, the ones that I was the most excited to see were the Dark-Eyed Juncos!  They only bless us here with their presence in the winter time.  They are the cutest little bird, with a snow white belly, black top, and yellow beak.  I could only snap this shot of them on the ground under our feeders because that is where they are most comfortable, you'll hardly ever see them on the feeders.  So, of course I always throw some extra seed on the ground for them.  If the seed gets buried, they will use their little feet to scratch away at the snow, doing a little hop in the process, very cute.
