For today's "Show and Tell" I'd love to share with you about my Nature Journal. If you'd like to participate in Show n Tell too, visit Canadagirl's blog.

I started keeping my own nature journal a couple of years ago, and while I do not have as much time as I used to for it, I'd like to get back to keeping it up at least every now and then! For me, keeping a nature journal is very therapeutic. I'm certainly not the best artist, but I love all of God's creation around me, and I find it calming to take the time to observe and keep a record of things I have seen. It can be anything from my favorite - the birds, or a bark or leaf rubbing from a tree in our backyard, or a pressed flower.
I also find writing to be a peacemaker for my soul, so I love to add my own notes and even poems to my journal. But because I love writing so much I always find myself on my blog, which explains why I don't have as much time for my nature journal these days! However, at times I view my blog as my virtual nature journal of sorts.
From one homeschooling mother to others, I recommend that whatever you find peaceful, calming and therapeutic to do, take time for it. It's so important that we are nourished in our enjoyments just as well as our children are!
Here are some pictures of my journal:
