Art and Music Friday ~ Monet Impressionism and Vivaldi

We got together today with my good friend Jennifer and her children to do Art and Music Friday. Jennifer first taught the kids a lesson on Monet.

These were a few of her favorite books that she used:

Claude Monet - Sunshine and Water Lilies

Monet and the Impressionists for Kids

The Magical Garden of Claude Monet

Then I gave them a quick lesson and review on Antonio Vivaldi and we put on a CD to listen to while the kids completed their paintings.

Masters of Classical Music - Vivaldi

AND, of course the Mom's had to have fun too (mine and Jennifers)!

What a great day! And such lovely paintings! There has been some talk in our support group about starting a co-op, so maybe we'll do something like this.

What a great lookin' group of kids! I still say your painting looks great! I think you've even mastered the clouds.

I hadn't submitted that post so I will. THANKS. I think we don't do 'this or that' such as art and music...but then find we do fit it in.... just working up to being more regular.

Hi! Your Monet painting is beautiful! How did you do those clouds?
We are very blessed to have "Monet & the Impressionists" coming to New Zealand next year. Real Monets, we can't wait! We have lots of picture study to do before then.
