Fun in the Snow ~ Snowflake Dancing

There are so many fun things to do in the snow. Build snowmen, go sledding, make snow angels, have a snowball fight to name a few. And now we have another activity to do in the snow. While we were playing in the snow a few days ago, my daughters introduced me to what they call "snowflake dancing". Oh yes, how could I have forgotten that from my childhood. It seems so magical to whirl and twirl around in the falling snowflakes.

We could hear the beautiful, magical music floating through the woods. Can you? Shall we snow dance?

How beautiful! Yes, I think I can hear the music :-). One thing I've always loved about snow is how it insulates all the sounds around so that there is such a quiet feeling about. We haven't had any real snow to speak of yet, just a dusting back around Thanksgiving.
Melissa, have you read Jim Arnosky's Nearer Nature? It is such a wonderful book of how he explores the land around his home and observes the many goings on of the different critters there. Reading many of your posts reminds me of just how he records so much of his observations.

awww I love it --- snow dancing. Makes me wanna grab my husband and find the snow! ( we are snow-less right now )

Thanks for your encouraging words, Melissa. We are enjoying our artists study, very much so.

And thank you for the offer of a new picture! Absolutely...a new one would be super! How thoughtful of you. That would be wonderful.

I am enjoying my weekend. I started a new bible study on Friday morning ( Beth Moore's ~ Esther ) I'm loving it. I did 2 days worth of homework, still another 3 to go. So that is what I have been doing today. Hubby is off ministering at another church tonight, the kids and I decided to take the night off.

If it wasn't already dark, I would take them out for a walk to do Barb's new 'Winter Weds.' I'm looking forward to participating in that.

Anyway, I have wrote a book......
