Since this is my first time to post on a blog of my very own, I am very inexperienced, so please bare with me! A little about my family and myself. My name is Chris and I am 26 years old, but fixin' to be 27 come January. Is it me, or do the years just keep coming faster and faster?!?!?!
Anyways, I am happily married for five, going on six years in April to a wonderful guy named Rodney. We have a beautiful five year old Daughter named Sierra. We use A Beka to homeschool our Daughter in kindergarten. She loves it and so do we! My husband is in the Air Force and so we are stationed in Georgia right now. Soon, I will be starting school myself to get my associate degree starting this next semester. I have been dreaming of becoming a veterinarian technician for a long time. Looks like it's finally coming true...........FINALLY, again, I say!
My life isn't so exciting and adventurous, but it's full of family and friends that I love and we are living for the Lord and the Lord lives through us! And yes, we are blessed!
My daily routine usually consists of waking up, having breakfast with my daughter, and then homeschooling. We break for lunch, then have about another hour of school, then my Daughter's "off the hook" and I have some "me time" and get on and post on a wonderful message board for homeschooling moms who love the Lord. The Christian Homeschool Corner. Then, after I am finished posting on the message board, I spend some time with my daughter, start on house chores run errands, get ready for church, if it's Wednesday and get dinner started. If it's a Wednesday, we head to church and my daughter to AWANA Sparks and I to AWNANA Cubbies, since I am a leader in that group. Then we would head home. After dinner, and my daughter's in bed by nine o'clock, I spend time with my hubby or watch a lil' tv., then I get more night chores done and I'm off to bed! See? Not exciting! Lol. Saturday holds more opportunities for excitement. That's my day to get the laundry and dishes done in the morning and then off to shop, the movies and dinner date with hubby, or go to a friend's or hang out around the house and veg out. Whatever the mood strikes me, is what I do that day. Sunday is church and the lunch and maybe a snooze, then back to evening church and then on home to relax and rest. Such is the life of a domestic Queen!
Right now, my hubby's deployed overseas and this isn't the first or the last time either. The days are more relaxed because the chores can wait, the dinner doesn't have to be as extravagant and ends up being take out or something pretty simple to satisfy my five year old's tastebuds.
But, he's coming home in time for Christmas! Yay! I praise the Lord for that, because the first time he deployed a few years back, I will never forget; he was gone from Halloween through New Years. Sooooooo, so hard on my daughter and I.
For Thanksgiving, I am headed over to a friend's and her family, who graciously invited my daughter and me, knowing full well, that unless one of our friends from church invites us, we would be alone, so bless her for taking us in and letting us be part of her family's feast on Thanksgiving!
Well, I will try to have an entry every day, but two or three times a weeks, seems more realistic for me. Lol.
Once I get the hang of what I am supposed to do here, I will try to do just that! I am a newbie! Well, I can't wait to get to know all of you. Some of you I already do from my message board, so to you all you gals, "Hello, remember me???" Hehehe.
Take care and God bless! Hugs!
