It's almost here....

Wow Christmas is right around the corner and I'm not ready!!!!! How does it get here so quick? This year we are homeschooling right up till Christmas. Our studies are a little lighter and more flexible, which has helped to keep us on target. We turned in our portfolios on Thursday to the school board. We went to see "A Christmas Carol" Friday night at The Miracle Theater . The girls really enjoyed it. We have been reading the book and doing a unit study on it. Madison had her final dress rehersal for the Christmas Eve play today and Vanna went to her Youth Group Christmas party. My Uncle came down from New Jersey and we had a great visit. The girls just love him. My Aunt sent down a delicious homemade pumpkin cheesecake. Vanna absolutely loved it! While he was here we looked through old family pictures and he told us lots of stories from the past. I love family history! Then we went to my brothers for a little Christmas get together. My mother in law's birthday was Friday and we still haven't made it over to see her. We did make it over to see my husbands first grandchild. His name is Adrianne Isaiah. He looked so tiny ( I think it's been a while since I've seen a newborn) and very cute. We have been praying for him. He didn't get the best start in life but we are confident that the Lord will take care of him. I guess you could say we've been busy! This week will be as busy, hopefully I won't get too stressed. I am trying to remember the reason for the season - JESUS. Seeking Him, Missy |
