Teaching is my gift, though never formally trained. I have the privilege of teaching my beautiful girls!

The One Room Schoolhouse
Oct. 6, 2006
My Husband

Posted in Time for a Prayer

I must say, I Love My Husband. There was a time I thought I couldn't take another minute of him, but I'm glad I held out. My youngest is giving me a hard time in school, everyday. We have good times too, but they don't seem to outway the bad. It really is a rebellion issue. She is very smart and usually likes school, but she dislikes authority.  I have recently been working on disciplining without anger. Which, I have been doing very well with, but am really being tested. After a long week, the rebellion continued, so I breifly talked to my husband about it.
I had already sent her to her room so he went up to straighten her out. At this point I didn't care what happened as long as she was dealt with. As he was telling her the error of her ways, he began explaining to her how we decided homeschooling was the best for our children. That I work hard to make this happen so she better get with the program because he wasn't gonna tolerate this behavior.
As I heard this I felt such a releif and peace. I don't know if I had a hidden fear that my girls would complain and my husband would want to send them back to public school. Or why I feel like I'm in this by myself. But it was so comforting to hear him talk to her and present us as a team. I think I needed to hear it as much as she did.
He always seems to surprise me, maybe I don't give him enough credit. Anyways I think I will sleep very peaceful tonight. Oh and in case your wondering Terry loved the Pulled Pork Sandwiches, the girls and I could easily give them up!
