What is FIAR?

Posted in FIAR

What is FIAR?

FIAR is short for 'Five In A Row' It is a the core curriculum we use.  FIAR is a method that Jane Claire Lambert developed and published into a curriculum. It is a 'unit study' approach to teaching young children using excellent childrens literature, such as:

The Story about Ping

Lentil

Madeline

Night of the Moonjellies

Cranberry Thaksgiving

these and more are found in 4 volumes of 'Five In a Row" she also offers 'Before Five in a Row' and 'Beyound Five in A Row'

We suppliment FIAR with a *Math and *Language Arts/Phonics curriculum.

We often put our lessons into *Lapbooks to keep and use as review and they are also wonderful keepsakes!

*for more info on these go to catagories and click
