It's what I do all day, everyday

You can't make this stuff up

There are some things you just can't make up.  A few days ago, it was a scene out a silly sitcom. But it really happened.

We received the summer newsletter from God's Word for the Nations.  I waited until supper time to show it to the children so that we could share together what God is doing.

I talked about stories in the newsletter and noticed my 8 y.o wasn't paying attention.  I reminded her "You remember David Hazell, right?"

Uh oh!  I said the name of David Hazell. At that moment, we experienced a brown out effect in our house.  The lights went out.  Well that got her attention.

As the power came back up in the next few seconds, we hear from a few feet away  "Hello. My name is David Hazell."

eeek!  I jumped out of my skin and started laughing hysterically.  You see, earlier in the day I was listening to a CD recording of an MFW workshop given at a homeschool convention.   The CD restarted after the brown out.
   whew!

Crystal, that is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time. We serve a God with a wonderful sense of humor :)
