Yesterday K and I had to decide what to do as we had a swimming pool on the other side of the shed which had some water in it and some tiny frog eggs and tadpoles.  She had been adding water and we may have transplanted them to the pond.  However, yesterday there was red algae growing throughout the whole pond.  So we contemplated and didn't know for sure but thought that maybe it was bad so we dumped the pool and added a bit of bleach to it.  No more tadpoles...

Anyway, I am somewhat worried about algae after I read that some types can be fatal to animals. Yuk and scarey!
