Sep. 20, 2007 - Homeschooling fits me like a glove

It's been three weeks now and I know that it's early but I really love homeschooling my son (5).  I love the flexibility of it. I love how we have playtime in the morning and we are not rushing out the door.  I love how he comes right over when I start to read a story to him and he snuggles right into me. I love that he asks for me to read more stories.  I love that he is really giving his best effort when doing things that he finds difficult (writing and drawing).  I know that we will have difficult days...but I love right where we are now.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment for me. I used sonlight's Core B with my oldest as well when we first started. It was a great curricullum, I think you will have a blast with your son this year. It's truly a joyful journey to be learning alongside our children!
I'm also a scrapbooker, and I know about accumulating papers. I bought a ton of pads from Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago when they had the 50% off scrapbook supplies sale, now I just need to get my act together and start scraping. It gets to be tricky too as homeschooling will take time and energy from our busy schedule, but definitely don't stop scraping (or doing anything crafty for yourself) because taking time for ourselves means we will have renewed energy for our spouse and children as well. :) Yinfern

I know this is an old post, but had to stop in--thanks for stopping by my blog! Never lose that wonder with your children. I feel blessed every day still, even after 12 years of hsing.
God bless!
