His birthday was yesterday, but we celebrated on Sunday.  To start with, one of his neighbor friends gave him a limo ride as a gift.  His dad is a driver part time for extra income.  He had three friends come to his party.  My sister, her husband, and my niece came.  My boyfriend and his son came.  My dad also flew in for the weekend.  K got a lot of really nice gifts. He wanted an ice cream cake.  To make sure that we had enough cake without costing a fortune, we made one.  I got the recipe here. We used generic, mint Oreos instead of chocolate chip cookies and skipped the cherries.  Everyone really liked it. The kids stayed the night.  They were up REALLY late.  I ended up putting K in my room to sleep.  He had to be up to go to Artlink.  Our local art museum does a program every summer for kids.  The other kids didn't get up until around 11 and didn't leave until almost 2 o'clock.
